Get ready New York City for a grand June coming ahead with the 2018 Black Truffle Festival. Earlier this month Urbani Truffles and Grana Padano PDO hosted the official kick-off for the incredible upcoming affair. Elisabetta Serraiotto of Consoizio Grana Padano and Vittorio Giordano of Urbanni Truffles greeted guests to the loveliest evening of the month of May. At the four-course dinner prepared by the talented Chef John De Lucie of Bedford & Co, guests enjoyed delicious delights over a heartwarming presentation. Special wine pairings by Christina Renda of Ca’del Bosco and Santa Margheririta added to the splendid menu. Served for the event was a phenomenal starter of Deconstructed Eggplant with Tomato Confi and Grana Padano (16 months) along with Fattoria Sardi Rose 2017. Followed was a supreme dish of Tagiatelle with Black Truffles and Grana Padano Fondue (12 months) along with Kettmier Pinot Bianco 2016. To add to the table was a next dish of heavenly Stuffed Hen with Truffles and Mushrooms along with Roasted Marble Potatoes with Truffles and Grana Padano.
Dessert selection of Roasted Pineapple with Mascarpone and Hazelnet paired with Ca’del Bosco Cuvee Prestige MV was a sweet way to end the perfect night of cuisine. From June 15 to June 24 fine dinning restaurants in New York City, as well as San Francisco and Miami will feature the divine menu tasting selections.
